‘CAT – VS- ‘COON?

Don’t know why this young bobcat is so interested in the ratcoon, but evidently the much larger furry bandit doesn’t want to get too close and find out?

A young bobcat and an adult raccoon seem to be both interested in the corn roll barrel.

The second picture shows the coon in retreat.

It appears the 'cat has "won" this little showdown?

Kudos Mr. Holmes on your fine article appearing in this months (April 2013) Texas Fish & Game publication. I live on the beautiful San Bernard River and was quite surprised when I stumbled [I admit I am not a regular reader of fish and game articles] across “It isn’t Nice (Or Smart) to Fool With Mother Nature”. The title grabbed my attention long enough for me to glimpse a mention of the San Bernard River… so I read on enjoying the entire article. Thank you for including the San Bernard River information in your informative article. Keep on writing.
    Best wishes,
