DEER GROWTH?

Going through my files, I found a good shot of my 2011 buck, taken in 2010. He does not appear to have “grown” any, antler-wise, in his last year. So much for wondering “What if I’d let him grow another year?”

My beautiful picture

One year’s additional “growth” did not seem to change much about this deer’s rack. Might be his age, the range conditions, or genetics.

The period from 2010 to 2011 did not seem to significantly improve this deer's rack.
