Capt. Bob Zales of Florida just told me he got an email from NMFS today stating the Fall red snapper season for Federal waters in the Gulf will be October 1 through October 14. This should be posted in the Federal Register tomorrow or the next day.

Bob just emailed that the fall season has been confirmed for the “full” 14 days. Of course, the 2014 season and regulations will largely depend on the ESTIMATED catch of this fall season (of course, that estimate may have already been formulated, in my opinion).
