PEARCE RUBBER INSERT GRIPS FOR 1911 PISTOLS

Although my Taurus 1911 has a fully checkered front strap on the grip area, my Springfield Mil Spec doesn not. I am trying Pearce rubber grips inserts to solve this problem. These fit under the stock grips and wrap around the front strap, and also have comfortable “finger grooves”. I like them so much I put them on my Taurus, also. The appearance is not bad, and the cost was nominal.

The Pearce rubber finger groove grip inserts go under, and are secured by, the pistol's main grips.

With my wooden grips in place over the rubber inserts, not only do I have the finger grooves, but there is undoubtedly a cushioning effect of the rubber portion under the grips to help absorb recoil and make for more pleasant shooting.

The Pearce rubber grip inserts provide a much firmer grips on my .460 Rowland Springfield Mil Spec 1911, and help to absorb some of the power of the .460.
