It’s easier to find a good place to put a stand, when “X” marks the spot!

Every deep water bottom fisherman who has ever spent much time staring back and forth between a GPS screen and the bottom machine searching for signs of a piece of fish holding structure beneath his boat has surely has thoughts of how nice it would be to see a big. black “X” on top of the water, marking the spot for him! In real life, however, this just doesn’t happen. As a former deep water fisherman, when I DO happen to find such a marker in the woods, I tend to think that it might be an excellent spot for a stand! As famous marlin captain Skip Smith was fond of saying, “I’d rather be lucky than good!
